Sponsored by PokerStars and supported by  3FM the party attracted an estimated 2000 visitors, prompted picnics in Noble’s Park and featured a variety of entertainment from local singers to music from Douglas Town Band, displays from the Onchan Entertainers and a rare opportunity to learn circus skills.

We have received many favourable comments, many of which praised the Council for providing such a wealth of free entertainment. It was also encouraging to see how the tram horses that had been released from their regular summer duties on Douglas promenade attracted so much attention at this Diamond Jubilee event that was a prime example of how Douglas Borough Council excels at mounting a true community event.’
