St George's Ward election result

In accordance with the Local Elections Act 1986 and the Local Election Rules 2003, as amended, Catherine Ann Corlett of 30 Cronkbourne Road, Douglas, has been duly elected to serve as a councillor for St George's Ward of the Borough of Douglas until May 1st 2016.

 

The total number of votes given for each candidate at this election were:

 

BUTTERY, David - 156

CAMPBELL, George - 93

CORLETT, Catherine Ann - 274

OLIPHANT-SMITH, Kevin - 34

 

Spoilt papers - three.

 

The total number of voters voting at this election was 560, representing a turnout of 27 per cent.

 

The number of ballot papers rejected was:

 

a) for want of official mark: 0

b) for voting for more candidates than there were vacancies to be filled: 3

c) for writing or mark by which the voter could be identified: 0

d) unmarked or void for uncertainty: 0
