An estimated 2500 people visited Noble’s Park on Saturday July 20th for the Council’s annual fun day.
Live music, a whole host of charity and car boot stalls, family races, bouncy castles and a guest appearance from ‘Margaret’ and ‘Gwynne’ - two of the Council’s tramway horses – ensured a memorable day out for all the family.
Council Leader Councillor David Christian MBE JP said: ‘The fun day was a great success thanks to the tremendous efforts of everyone involved, the wide choice of attractions and entertainment and, of course, the fantastic weather. Noble’s Park was looking at its finest and for that I congratulate the parks team for all their hard work.
‘An occasion such as this fun day demonstrates just how well this magnificent green space is suited to hosting large-scale community events. Noble’s Park is most definitely one of the jewels in the Council’s crown.’
