Children invited to join Mischief Makers at Henry Bloom Noble Library

The Henry Bloom Noble Library is calling for children aged four to 11 to sign up to read six books this summer as part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, the 2018 theme for which is Mischief Makers, inspired by the much-loved children's comic Beano, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary.

Children will explore a map of Beanotown to find the mysterious buried treasure and become ultimate mischief makers. Dennis, Gnasher and friends will help them solve clues and collect stickers, having lots of fun and adventures along the way.

To take part in the challenge all children need to do is sign up for free at the library. They’ll receive a special collector’s folder and as they borrow and read at least six library books,

they can collect stickers to complete the adventure. They will also receive other fun incentives as they progress through the challenge.

Mischief Makers Summer Reading Challenge launches at 9am at the library on Saturday July 14 and runs until Saturday September 8.

There’s a programme of workshops planned for children taking part and tickets and details will be available from registration day.

For all enquiries call 696461 or email the library. To keep up to date with library news visit the library's Facebook page.
