The Mayor and Mayoress, together with Ian Davison of Davisons Ice Creams, visited Scoill Vallajeelt and Kewaigue School to present pupils with the opportunity to sample the official Douglas Carnival ice cream flavours. Eight-year-old Maisie Rose Ingeldew of Scoill Vallajeelt created the Refresher Ice Cream with Poppy Candy and 10-year-old Lucas Brockbanks of Kewaigue School (pictured below) came up with Raspberry Choc Chip flavour. They both won free ice creams for their classmates.
